Dorchester Foodbank is funded by donations of food from various churches, schools, clubs and people in and around Dorchester as well as by gifts of money from individuals and local businesses.
Since we began operating in 2009, we have been overwhelmed by the generous support shown to us from the local community in terms of money and donations of food. The cost of living crisis is having a huge impact on our clients, many of whom are attending Foodbank for the first time, and the number seeking help has increased dramatically in the last few years: we have seen a 90% increase in the number of referrals to Foodbank since 2020

Donations of tinned/packet food items or personal care/household products (see below), are always very welcome and can be left in the foyer at The Dorford Centre on any weekday during office hours.
